CAPA Academy

Hey guys, I'm Hope Savagard, and I am going to be the new blogger for the CAPA Academy. Please feel free to give me feedback and let me know if my blogs are any good.

Before we get into the class schedules, let me tell you what these classes are all about. I recently interviewed the DJ class instructor, Kaidin Ulrik; the Video class instructor, Cooper Steampunk, and the soccer team coach, which is also Cooper Steampunk.

The DJing course includes: Getting you a virtual DJ, setting up a virtual DJ, teaching you how streams work, where you can find a reasonable stream, how to set up your stream, linking to a stream, how to create your very own DJ cards for a shoutcast board, and where to find songs!

Cooper states that his SL video class will teach students how to make a film. "I teach students about the movie script, how we make a script with the software CELTX." Cooper is also excited for the soccerteam, which he is coaching. He says, "It is important for the student to meet others!"

Now onto class schedules:
Note: Walk-ins are welcome to any class, but if you want to ensure you have a spot in the class, pick up a sign-up sheet in the office. There is a 15 person maximum to every class, so be aware of that.

~ Fashion design class is this Monday at 12pm SLT and this Wednesday at 6pm SLT. Classes started April 11th, but walk-ins are always welcome as I said above! All ages may attend this class.

Ever wonder what those other stores are in the building, but never actually checked them out? Well, one of them is An Affair to Remember. An Affair to Remember sells cakes that are custom cakes. We will put on custom sentences, we will put names on cakes, and all cakes are pre-made. All cakes start at 100L$!

There are stores upstairs also! These stores include: freebies, clothes, hair, some furniture, skins, AO's, and jewelry.

Looking for a place to rent? CAPA has plenty of space for you to rent your stores to! Prices start at 200L$ per week and prims start at 50.

Questions concerning any of the above information, please contact Gypsy Lysette, Pure Silvershade, any of the teachers, or Hope Savagard. For further class information, head to the CAPA office and pick up a sign-up sheet or notecard.

A special thanks to all the instructors who lent me some time for the interviews. Check out next weeks blog for next weeks information! Until then, have a great weekend, and a happy Easter!
